The Debian Project

Debian @ CeBIT 2001

– February 24th - March 1st, 2000 –
– Hannover, Germany –

CeBIT one of the worlds most important Computer exhibition, together with Comdex in Las Vegas. The Debian-Project has the opportunity to present the Distribution on several sub booths within the exhibition.

In exhibition hall 6 at the Stormix booth there will be Roland Bauerschmidt and Daniel Mester. The Stormix people were so kind to give half of their booth to the project. There was a loaned Alpha box that Andreas Schuldei acquired and an intel-based PC runing Debian we were able to loan from innominate.

In the same hall within the US pavillon where a Linux pavillon was located, we also had the opportunity to run a sub-booth at Linuxland who produce Debian on CD. Torsten Landschoff staffs this booth.

In exhibition hall 5 at the booth of Vogel Verlag, who also distribute Debian as printware (magazine+cd) a sub-booth with Linux is provided. It is staffed by Joey. He also holds a talk at LinuxTag booth covering Free Software.
