The Debian Project

Debian @ LinuxTag 2002

– June 6th - 9th, 2002 –
– Karlsruhe, Germany –

We're going to organize a one day conference dedicated to Debian people, targeting advanced users and developers. It will take place at Friday, June 7th, and last the entire day, probably ending with keysigning and chat. Talks should describe certain parts of the distribution or the project.

Currently we're looking for speakers and topics. If you would like to give a talk at this sub-conference, please get in touch with Martin Schulze.

Proposed talks

  • Russell Coker
    • devfsd
    • Portslave/pppd
    • Benchmarking (bonnie++ and/or Postal)
    • NSA Security Enhanced Linux

I offered a 4 hour tutorial on installing SE Linux for the main conference. If they turn down my offer I'll make it a Debian thing instead, but I'll probably cut it down to 2-3 hours as the audience size it'll get as a Debian-only thing won't justify the work I'd have to do for a 4 hour presentation.

  • Michael Bramer
    • Debian Package Managment (Live Workshop)
    • DDTP
  • Andreas Tille
    • Debian Med / Debian Jr.
  • Martin Michlmayr
    • New Maintainer
  • Thimo Neubauer
    • Debian on Laptops
  • Jörg Wendland
    • Hosting-Array mit Debian
